Made from solid bronze the detail of this figure is breathtaking, signed Italica to the base, this bronze depicts his arm outstretched in the process of throwing the discus, standing by a stump with lovely detail, the original Greek bronze is lost but the work is known through numerous Roman copies, both full scale ones in marble, (marble was cheaper than bronze), such as the first to be recovered, the Palombara Discobolus, and smaller scaled versions in bronze, the dimensions are 28cms wide 15cms deep standing 39cms tall, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee or pack and post nationally
