We offer for sale a fantastic huge pair of Ezra Elmer Keene (1853-1929) lithograph’s in sepia tones, they are entitled " End Of The Village” and “Road From The Moor”, the lower left had corner bears the signature of Elmer Keene, the end of the village depicts a farmer with his shire horses, and chickens running around, with his wife stood outside their house, the road from the moor depicts a shepherd driving a small flock of sheep, both these images are absolutely stunning with amazing detail and a dreamy backgrounds, a little history on landscape artist Ezra 'Elmer' Keene: Born in Osberton near Worksop in Nottinghamshire on 25 January 1853, he is known for his landscape paintings, although he lived in the English countryside, his work also included many marine subjects, he was able to earn a living by painting for his many local patrons, so rarely exhibited, but in 1895 he did exhibit one painting at the Royal Academy, they are in matching frames and mounted under original glass, the dimensions are 48cms by 89cms, so a really impressive size, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee or pack and post nationally
