
A splendid early nineteenth century Biedermeier secretaire, secretary desk, or writing cabinet, from the renowned Biedermeier period in Vienna, Austria around 1830, having its original retailers sticker from kjobenhavn, Denmark, this absolutely spectacular early example of a Biedermeier secretary, has been veneered with finest mirror matched flame mahogany, the woodgrain is just fabulous with a deep rich colour, it has a drawer to the top, a fold-down writing surface which reveals six breath-taking inlaid drawers, and a central lockable cupboard again with amazing inlay work, and three graduated drawers below, all lockable with tight hand cut dovetail joints, a truly spectacular piece that is as beautiful as practical, the dimensions are 92cms wide 47cms deep standing 94cms tall, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee, or arrange a courier nationally, please feel free to visit our new showroom in Bretherton
