An Accident is an oil painting produced by L.S Lowry in 1926, Lowry is recognised for his portrayals of busy urban usually northern landscapes filled with stylised figures, often referred to as ‘matchstick men’, For this painting, Lowry has captured mill workers walking in front of a mill factory and some of them have crowded together to observe the 'accident', the figures obscure our view of the accident, creating a sense of mystery, its beautifully framed under glass, it was published by Manus Prints and is reference number MP02, the dimensions are 80cms by 60cms so a really good size, I am happy to deliver locally for a small fee or pack and post nationally
