A truly beautiful and characterful Victorian writing table, made in England circa 1850–1860. This is a fine-quality antique, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and exquisite inlaid decoration throughout.
Predominantly crafted from walnut, the table features gorgeous floral inlay, complemented by elegant satinwood stringing and decorative inlaid borders. The walnut has developed a beautiful rich colour and patina over time, with stunning mirrored grain patterns that make this piece particularly eye-catching.
The table has a useful side drawer, fitted with traditional brass pull handles and featuring tight, hand-cut dovetail joints, a testament to the quality of its construction. The elegant turned legs stand proudly on their original-style porcelain casters, adding both charm and practicality.
