This impressive chest is crafted from beautiful figured flamed mahogany, which has aged to a wonderfully rich colour with a striking grain, good patina and a lovely depth of character.
The chest features a beautifully shaped top incorporating a concealed secret drawer, above two cushion drawers and four graduating figured flamed mahogany drawers. with beautifully book-matched timbers to the drawer fronts. The drawers are fitted with beautifully turned walnut handles with mother-of-pearl inlays, adding a particularly elegant decorative touch.
The quality continues throughout, with tight hand-cut dovetail joints, beautifully carved corbels and fabulous turned bun feet, all contributing to the substantial quality and character of this impressive piece.
